Thanos Smanis founded CLIMAZUL in October 2019. Thanos is an Agriculture engineer (PhD candidate in Ecosystem Management) with experience in environmental management providing support to decisions related to environmental issues, especially in the context of competition for natural resources, city development, risk management, and development of environmental policies. He specialises in Environmental consultancy, Climate Change, Integrated Maritime Policy (IMP) / Blue Economy-Growth, Agriculture, Biodiversity.
Thanos is a key member of the EU MSP Platform, coordinating the Maritime Spatial Planning experts working in each EU sea basin. He is a Blue Economy expert and core team member both in the AM West Med Blue Economy Initiative and the Black Sea Assistance Mechanism.
DEJA BLUE and ClLIMAZUL are keen to work with others interested in Blue Economy Initiatives. Both firms are registered experts in the EU system.
